Combine document photos into an ordered PDF

Clean up document photos, choose page fit and ordering, and verify the final PDF before sharing it.

Start with complete, legible photographs

Photograph each page flat in even light. Include all four corners, avoid shadows and glare, and check focus before moving on. A cleanup filter cannot recover text that was never captured clearly.

Keep originals and give the pages a clear order. File selection order may differ from the document's reading order, so inspect the queue before exporting.

Clean up only as much as needed

Use Scan Cleaner to adjust the page area and contrast. Check edges and faint handwriting in the preview. Strong thresholding can remove pale marks along with the background, so compare against the source.

Cleanup is not redaction. Use a dedicated redaction workflow when private content must be removed, and inspect the exported result for residual text and metadata.

Choose page size and fit

Add the cleaned images to Images to PDF. Select the required page size, margins and fit behavior. Fit keeps the full image visible; a crop can remove edges. Avoid enlarging small photos unnecessarily.

Review every page and reorder where needed with PDF Organizer. A PDF with the right file size but missing or duplicated pages is not ready to submit.

Add searchability only when useful

Searchable PDF OCR adds a text layer to scans using the available language pack. This build includes English and Hindi language packs; recognition can be wrong for handwriting, poor contrast and other languages.

Open the final PDF, confirm the page order and search a known sentence if OCR was used. Treat recognized text as something to review, not a certified transcription. Heavy OCR packs require an initial download and enough browser memory.
